AFFORD-A-HOME, inc.  is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization offering quality housing for individuals and families with 60-100% of the median income. Our mission is to create home ownership opportunities at prices working families can afford. We offer design/build and construction management services with extensive experience in all phases of new home construction and remodeling.

AFFORD-A-HOME uses an advanced building system – SIPs (structural insulated panels) – to provide superior housing products.  Energy efficiency services are also offered through the non-profit. Afford-A-Home is known not only for economy, but also superior craftsmanship and attention to detail.

AFFORD-A-HOME’s decision to construct with SIPs for the building shell, and other energy efficient and cost saving building materials, allows the homeowner to enjoy drastically reduced heating and cooling bills for the life of the home. The AFFORD-A-HOME construction process out-performs conventional building methods with superior structural strength and exceptional insulation value. SIP structures also qualify for Energy Efficient Mortgages (EEM’s) and have a higher appraisal value, making homes built with this approach truly affordable and Energy Star successes.

AFFORD-A-HOME is also available to train volunteer workers and homeowners in construction skills with the SIPs system. On-the-job training and qualification for construction employment are both available services.
